Too bad you can't go to Missouri.  My farm is Organic & Cert'd Nat Grown.  We're on 50 acres & I'm looking for someone to watch after my Irish Dexter cattle, meat sheep, goats, Red Wattle pigs, chickens, ducks, geese & meat breed rabbits.

Needed: Small Farm for longterm lease

Hi...I'm a beginning farmer needing to find a small (organically managed)farm to lease, possibly lease to own, definitely long-term. I'm looking for 3-10 acres, maybe more, depending on circumstances. My goal is to grow vegetables, small fruit, poultry and perhaps sheep. Am also interested in beekeeping. I want to explore four-season harvesting, using some of Elliot Coleman's ideas. A partnership or partners would be ideal. (Wo-man is not an island, you know?) I would need housing on or very near the farm, preferably 3-5 bedrooms. Separate buildings would be all right.
Currently located in Columbia County NY. Am looking anywhere around my current area, but would consider a bit further out from NYCity, in any direction. Need to stay within an easy train commute to NYC, though.
