Welcome Bluemomma50, please do keep us informed as to how your journey goes.  Rural Missouri is one of the best places in the United States to get back to a simpler way of living, as most of the folks around here have spent their entire lives doing just that and they have gotten pretty darned good at it.  :)  Wish you the best of luck with this endeavor.

Moving out to Rural Missouri

Hello. A friend of mine just sent me a news clipping from the Rural Missouri titled "A country conglomerate".  I am totally intrigued on the melding of living in harmony with the Earth and the digital age. I am originally from NE Ohio growing up on the edge of town close to Kirtland Ohio, home of a Mormon church, moved to St. Louis since 1982, now moving back out to wine country in a few weeks. I want to raise chickens and definitely try living a simpler life. My fiancee is a farmer from Moniteau county so we hope to meld my city exposure with his country ways. Will keep you posted!
