Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty (Please take time to read this)
« Reply #1 on: August 11, 2008, 02:49:47 AM »

This man is not getting the attention from the press that he deserves.  I have learned a great deal about our "two party" political system and how flawed the primary election system and conventions are during the recent "Primary" season.  We need to listen seriously to Dr. Paul's ideas.  Read what the press refuses to print or show.  He is holding a convention in Minneapolis at the same time as the Republican convention and has sold over 2/3's of the 13,000 seats already (as of 8.11.08) so SOMEBODY is listening.

I feel so strongly about his stand that I have asked to offer his best selling book "The Revolution: A Manifesto" at a special price: $14.30 instead of the $21.00 retail price. Click here to order Dr. Paul's New York Times Best Seller:

As you probably know Rep. Paul pulled out of the presidential campaign because he was unable to get publicity he needed and deserved.  After raising more money from more individuals than any candidate in history and being declared the winner in most of the debates, he still could not get press coverage.
At the urging of his supporters, and after winning a return to his seat in congress, Paul decided to turn his campaign funds into an educational non-profit to help American citizens learn more about the constitution and our flawed political system.  Now, it is up to each of us to learn more about why our country is in such a mess and try to get things turned around.  The book is a great start!

Herman Beck-Chenoweth

"The mission of the Campaign for Liberty is to promote and defend the great American principles of individual liberty, constitutional government, sound money, free markets, and a non-interventionist foreign policy, by means of educational and political activity.

"Americans inherit from their ancestors a glorious tradition of freedom and resistance to oppression.  Our country has long been admired by the rest of the world for her great example of liberty and prosperity – a light shining in the darkness of tyranny.

"But many Americans today are frustrated.  The political choices they are offered give them no real choice at all.  For all their talk of “change,” neither major political party as presently constituted challenges the status quo in any serious way.  Neither treats the Constitution with anything but contempt.  Neither offers any kind of change in monetary policy.  Neither wants to make the reductions in government that our crushing debt burden demands.  Neither talks about bringing American troops home not just from Iraq but from around the world.  Our country is going bankrupt, and none of these sensible proposals are even on the table.

"This destructive bipartisan consensus has suffocated American political life for many years.  Anyone who tries to ask fundamental questions instead of cosmetic ones is ridiculed or ignored.

That is why the Campaign for Liberty was established: to highlight the neglected but common-sense principles we champion and reinsert them into the American political conversation."
