Electric Fence

I'll reply here to the ring in the nose.    We used to bury a barbed wire  6 - 8 inches below the surface of the ground when we tried to keep hogs in a hogwire fence.   We later got smart and put an electric wire about six to eight inches above the ground, all the way around the inside of their fence.  No more hogs out or need for rings.   We always use a battery powered fence as they seemed to "smell" if the power was out on the 110 fencer and we have not the most reliable electric around here.
